Here are the pictures from the Saturday, February 21st ReBuildUp Course held at Central Library in Downtown Greensboro sponsored by Michael Robinson Accounting. Stay tuned, we’ll be announcing the location of the next ReBuildUp Course to be held also in Downtown Greensboro on Saturday, March 14th, 1-5pm the day before the rescheduled PitchPocalypse at Central Library on Sunday, March 15th, 2:30-5pm.
First up, Economy, Jr.
Time for cards with Million Dollar Idea.
The presentations begin with Pitch Drill.
It all comes together in the Cashless Incubator held at the end.
QUALIFIER EVENT – Today’s ReBuildUp Course event at Central Library in Downtown Greensboro will take place from 1:00-5:30pm. This event is sponsored by Michael Robinson Accounting, LLC with Shift, the Nussbaum Center’s Entrepreneur Group, helping coordinate volunteers.
The purpose of this event is to have players participate in four entrepreneur mini-games to help select up to 8 finalists for the PitchPocalypse business plan pitching contest held next Thursday, February 26th 6-8pm also at Central Library.
1ST PLACE WINNER of the PitchPocalypse will receive:
– $300 towards launching their company
– 1 year membership to the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce
– FREE business filing assistance from Elon University’s Business Clinic (does not include local and state filing fees).
– 6 months FREE business accounting help from Michael Robinson Accounting, LLC
2ND PLACE WINNER:
– 1 year membership to the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce

The ReBuildUp Course is part of ReBuildUp’s Startup Program.
ReBuildUp will be debuting a new card game for 2-8 players (great for families) that teaches about salesmanship, cost of goods sold, and gross margins in a fun way. It works great as a pre-Economy, Jr. game and with a few extra card decks, you can have a tournament with up to 32 players at a time.
Teens in Greensboro are invited to come out and play on Tuesdays January 13th through 27th at Greensboro Library’s Glenwood, McGirt-Horton, and Hemphill branches. Visit our Events page for specific dates and times.
In late January/early February 2015 we plan on releasing an updated version of Economy, Jr. that will include the following additions:
– Player Orientation Video
– Credit Card Monthly Payment Store for Customer Players
– Business Licenses for Merchant Players
– One more addition in the works.

PRIVATE EVENT – On Tuesday, November 25th, Economy, Jr. will be held for over 300 Career Tech Students(!) at Grimsley High School. This all day event will have TEN TIMES the number of players compared to previous single day Economy, Jr. events. Volunteers are being organized in part by Grimsley PTA with Summit Credit Union as the event sponsor.
PRIVATE EVENT – On Friday, November 14th, 5th-8th graders at B’nai Shalom Day School will play Round 2 of Economy, Jr. This round has previous customers play as merchants and vice versa.
Thank you again for ReBuildUp’s warm welcome at B’nai Shalom Day School. The first round of Economy, Jr. went great with 29 5th-8th grade students playing as either Customers or Merchants.
