News & Record Prints Letter about Economy, Jr. at Greensboro Public Library

Financial literacy can shape young futures
“Thanks for your July 14 front-page article: “An Education in Money.” The Greensboro Public Library is holding several “Economy Jr.” financial and business literacy events at area branches this July and August. PRIVATE EVENT – On Tuesday, May 20th, participants of the “Be Good To Yourself” Teen Mentor program at Step Up Ministries will be playing “Pitch Drill” a fast paced introduction to business plans and pitching by having them develop and present a profitable solution for a specific problem before a panel of volunteer judges.

Parties 2 Dye 4 is sponsoring the event with the Diva Network helping organize the event.

NEW DATE: Economy Jr. @ Noble Academy March 17th Sponsored by Business Cents

DR-Crest-PD-3.17-800The private Economy, Jr. event scheduled for Tuesday, March 4th at Noble Academy was postponed due to incremental weather.  The new event date is  Monday, March 17th.

Business Cents, a small business bookkeeping service, is sponsoring the event with Shift, the Nussbaum Center’s startup group, providing assistance.
