“Economic Literacy Series Open to Greensboro Teens”
by Whitney Kenerly

The series consists of programs held from June 7 to August 5 designed by ReBuildUp, a company based in Greensboro that provides resources to “inspire the current and next generation of entrepreneurs about economics and business.”

PUBLIC (FREE) EVENT – On Saturday, June 14th, teenagers are welcome to come out to the Nussbaum Center for Entrepreneurship from 1-3:30pm to take part in ReBuildUp’s Jobs Course where they’ll play Economy, Jr., an Economic Literacy game, and Pitch Drill, a fast paced business plan and pitching contest.

By completing both games, players will be eligible to enter their own business concepts to the Cashless Incubator for review by area businesses in hopes of landing internships, jobs, or resources for their startup idea.  Participants of the Jobs Course will not have to pay the minimal signup fee to enter the Cashless Incubator for six months thanks to a generous donation by Summit Credit Union.

Summit Credit Union is sponsoring the event with Shift, the Nussbaum Center’s startup group, providing assistance.
