Teen Entrepreneur Series @ Greensboro Library sponsored by Summit Credit Union

We are excited to announce the follow up to our successful Economic Literacy Summer Series at Greensboro Public Library with the Teen Entrepreneur Fall Series sponsored by Summit Credit Union.

This series is different in two big ways:
TE-Logo-3001) Each Teen Entrepreneur event consists of our Pitch Drill and Cashless Incubator games held back to back per event to help players learn in a fun environment the basics of developing a business plan, presenting it, developing product ideas, market testing those ideas, and how to trade their skills for resources with little or no money.
PP-Logo-New-3002) After completing a Teen Entrepreneur event, players have the opportunity to submit their own teen business idea to compete with seven others at our November 18th PitchPocalypse contest with $300 going to the winning startup along with great prizes for 2nd and 3rd place winners.  Details provided on the entry form available to players of our Teen Entrepreneur Events.

We’ll be going into more detail as these events approach.  In the mean time, please help spread the word about this great series coming to the Greensboro Public Library.  Here are the events dates:

PICTURE: Pitch Drill (and CI Beta Test) @ Vance Chavis Library 7/31 sponsored by Greensboro Municipal Federal Credit Union

Great event at Vance Chavis Library sponsored by Greensboro Municipal Federal Credit Union as both Pitch Drill and the new Cashless Incubator game were played.  Big thanks to the participants which included 6 players who came out again after playing Economy, Jr. and this was the 3rd ReBuildUp event for one of those 6.

We got wrapped up in beta testing the new Cashless Incubator game and only managed to get in one picture of the action for the entire event:

We’ll also beta test the new Cashless Incubator game for participants after playing Pitch Drill.  The Cashless Incubator is a hybrid of Economy, Jr. and Pitch Drill where players use contracts to trade their skills for resources they’ll use when coming up with a product to pitch to the other players in a :30 seconds commercial.

The top three winners with get a full :60 seconds to make an investment pitch to the other players.  The winner is determined by who gets the most funding and we also spotlight the biggest investor.  The goal is to show players how to market test their product ideas with little money.

Come on out and see both these games for yourself:
