Food Growing League (FGL) Launching
After 3 years of ReBuildUp’s food growing program in various NC schools, we’re happy to announce the launch of the Food Growing League (FGL).
The League allows classrooms taking part in the Classroom to Food Market Pipeline (CFMP) to compete with one another each month for who has the biggest harvest by weight. The first two months of the League are sponsored in part by Bulldog Printing.
Nearly 200 students from 10 classrooms in 4 different schools will participate in this inaugural season. These four schools are Cone Elementary (Greensboro), Dillard Middle (Goldsboro), Sugarloaf Elementary (Hendersonville), & Stokesdale Elementary (Stokesdale). Both Cone and Sugarloaf Elementaries are veterans of the CFMP having taken part last year as well.
