It’s finally here, the 2018-19 Food Growing League Spring Season Championship. Started in February, students have been growing their basil plants for 3 months now. See pictures of what they’ve grown and find out which classes had the tallest harvests in the video, podcast, and scorecards above. We’d like to thank the teachers who helped make this program possible in their classrooms!

We’re also launching our attendance and financial literacy GrowBuck program that can be integrated with the League for those interested in a new way to help students practice their math skills.

March’s Round 2 of the Food Growing League Spring Season starts off in BSLA Conference with Stokesdale Elementary competing with Pleasant Garden Elementary and Match 2 with Sugarloaf Elementary up against Cone Elementary. In BSLB Conference, Invest Collegiate Middle takes on Ayden Grifton High and Leesville Road Middle vs. Eastern Wayne High. Watch video above for the results.

New Browser Can Help Fund rebuildup.com

This new browser blocks trackers, speeds up surfing, AND helps you fund websites like rebuildup.com Watch the video and if this sounds like something worth trying, you can download the browser here.

Here’s how you can help fund rebuildup.com using this new browser:

Step 1: Once the browser is installed, click on the browser menu in the top right corner (it looks like three dashes on top of each other).

Step 2: Click on “Settings…”

Step 3: Click on “Payments” and Choose to receive your “Tokens.”

Step 4: Turn on the “Brave Payments” to begin dispersing your tokens to the websites you visit.

Step 5: Make sure that rebuildup.com shows up on your Site list and that you include rebuildup.com in your token disbursements.

Step 6: If you really want to help, turn off “auto-include” to narrow the number of sites who receive your tokens each month.

We completed the Teen Entrepreneur Fall Series with our final event at Kathleen Clay Library sponsored by Summit Credit Union.  Here’s some of the action:

With the Teen Entrepreneur Fall Series wrapped up, it’s time for players to mail in their entries by the Monday, November 10th deadline for the $300 PitchPocalypse pitching contest on Tuesday, November 18th 6-8pm at Central Library in Downtown Greensboro.

rebuildup_CRESTS-Kathleen-GSOfalli-TE-300PUBLIC (FREE) EVENT – The final event of the Teen Entrepreneur Fall Series will take place this Tuesday, November 4th 6-8pm at Kathleen Clay Library.  Sponsored by Summit Credit Union, both the Pitch Drill and Cashless Incubator games will be filmed for a news story so teens are invited to come out even if they’ve played before to ensure a good crowd.  Call 336-373-2923 to RSVP or just show up.
