PUBLIC (FREE) EVENT
– On Saturday, May 3rd, teenagers at Forsyth Central Library from 1-3:30pm will be taking part in ReBuildUp’s Jobs Course that has them play Economy, Jr., an Economic Literacy game, and Pitch Drill, a fast paced business plan and pitching contest.

By completing both games, players will be eligible to enter their own business concepts to the Cashless Incubator for review by area businesses in hopes of landing internships, jobs, or resources for their startup idea.  Participants of the Jobs Course will not have to pay the minimal signup fee to enter the Cashless Incubator for six months thanks to a generous donation by Summit Credit Union.

Summit Credit Union is sponsoring the event with VentuRealization providing help with organizing volunteers.

If you have a teenager that can benefit from economic and entrepreneur literacy along with having an opportunity at an internship, job, or resources for their own startups through the Cashless Incubator, please come out for the event at Forsyth Central Library, 660 West Fifth Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101

  1. I am REALLY interested in bringing my daughter to an Economy Jr event. However, we will not be able to come to the event @ Deep Roots on the 19th. We live in Raleigh, and although I can make the drive to Greensboro if necessary, I was wondering if there are any plans for events in Raleigh? If not, could I be of any assistance in facilitating such an event? I am not a business owner, but I just think that this education is so very, very, valuable to our children, and would be happy to try to assist in getting the program to kids here in Raleigh.

    Thank You,

    Dorsey Harnach

    1. Dorsey,

We’ll soon have Economy, Jr. kits available for purchase online so you can avoid the commute to Greensboro and hold an event in your own area schools, churches, community centers, libraries, and businesses with meeting rooms.

I sent you an email with more details.

  2. Thank you for your prompt response. I look forward to the opportunity to bring this game to folks in Raleigh!

    Thanks,

    Dorsey
