Thanks again to the Healthy For Good Expo for inviting us out again this year. The event has definitely grown since last year. It was good making connections with High Point parents looking to bring the Food Growing League (FGL) to their children’s schools.

ReBuildUp at 2018 Healthy for Good Expo 10am-1pm (Today in High Point)
Join us today (Sat. Feb, 24th) at the 2nd Annual 2018 Healthy for Good Expo at Hartley YMCA located at 150 West Hartley Drive, High Point, NC 27265(336) 869-0151 www.hpymca.org.
We’ll have a booth setup showing off our new Food Growing League (FGL) along with the 8 different foods students are currently growing this year plus FGL stickers to give away.
The first 100 kids that show up with a healthy drawing will be receiving a free ticket to Wet’n Wild at Emerald Pointe!
More prizes will be available including a chance to win a NEW CAR in the Carolina Kia/Hyundai of High Point Basketball shootout.
PICS: Westchester Country Day School’s CFPP
During lunchtime on Monday September 12th, sixth and seventh grade students at Westchester Country Day School in High Point were given a demonstration on how to setup their Classroom to Food Pantry Pipeline kits.
Emerywood Baptist’s Food Pantry just a few miles from the school will be the recipient of WCDS’s monthly harvest throughout the 2016-2017 school year.
Westchester CDS launches CFPP to help Food Pantry
On Monday, September 12th, students at Westchester Country Day School in High Point, NC began setting up the first of 8 Portable Garden bins for their school’s Classroom to Food Pantry Pipeline (CFPP). Students will use these bins to grow nutritious pesticide free micro greens for delivery at Emerywood Baptist’s Food Pantry on a monthly basis during the 2016-2017 school year.
Water Bottle Drive at HPFS to help Food Pantries
High Point Friends School has begun collecting empty water bottles in its school cafeteria for use in constructing more portable gardens to grow food to feed nearby Food Pantries in High Point, NC.
More schools have expressed interest and we hope to have updates on more Bottle Drives before the end of the school year.
