Students at Cone Elementary gave their latest microgreen kale harvest to a hungry bird being nursed back to health by Piedmont Wildlife Rehab.
The background of the gallery image (click to enlarge) shows a mostly chronological order of the year (March 2017-March 2018) in pictures starting with pics from the 99th Annual NCAFCS in Charlotte almost exactly one year ago up to the Healthy For Good Expo just last weekend in High Point. The text is made up of screen shots from our new Food Growing League (FGL) started this past January.
We look forward to continuing to expand the program and improve the Health & Entrepreneurship skills of students and adults alike.
It’s Round 2 of the Food Growing League (FGL). With the bad weather of January behind us, classrooms rally behind bigger radish yields. Thanks to Bulldog Printing for helping sponsor the 2nd Round.

Thanks again to the Healthy For Good Expo for inviting us out again this year. The event has definitely grown since last year. It was good making connections with High Point parents looking to bring the Food Growing League (FGL) to their children’s schools.
Join us today (Sat. Feb, 24th) at the 2nd Annual 2018 Healthy for Good Expo at Hartley YMCA located at 150 West Hartley Drive, High Point, NC 27265(336) 869-0151 www.hpymca.org.
We’ll have a booth setup showing off our new Food Growing League (FGL) along with the 8 different foods students are currently growing this year plus FGL stickers to give away.
The first 100 kids that show up with a healthy drawing will be receiving a free ticket to Wet’n Wild at Emerald Pointe!
More prizes will be available including a chance to win a NEW CAR in the Carolina Kia/Hyundai of High Point Basketball shootout.
