The background of the gallery image (click to enlarge) shows a mostly chronological order of the year (March 2017-March 2018) in pictures starting with pics from the 99th Annual NCAFCS in Charlotte almost exactly one year ago up to the Healthy For Good Expo just last weekend in High Point. The text is made up of screen shots from our new Food Growing League (FGL) started this past January.
We look forward to continuing to expand the program and improve the Health & Entrepreneurship skills of students and adults alike.

This ReBuildUp Course sponsored by Michael Robinson Accounting will also serve as the qualifying event for the March 15th, 2:30-5:00pm PitchPocalypse business plan pitching contest held the next day at the Greensboro Central Library also in Downtown Greensboro.
If you’re 13-19 years old or want to enroll your teen to participate in both events, fill out this form to reserve your spot:
Due to some issues like the weather of the past week, we had a lower than expected turnout so we are rescheduling the PitchPocalypse to a later date in March, possibly on a Sunday to make it more convenient for students to attend. We will also be holding a 2nd ReBuildUp Course the Saturday before to increase our applicant pool for the contest.
Please check back on this site or join our Twitter or Facebook for the announcement on new dates. Those who’ve already entered the PitchPocalypse business plan contest will be contacted by email.
Thank you again to Summit Credit Union, Greensboro Chamber of Commerce, and UNCG’s NC Entrepreneurship Center for their continued support with these events.
The private Economy, Jr. event scheduled for Tuesday, March 4th at Noble Academy was postponed due to incremental weather. The new event date is Monday, March 17th.
Business Cents, a small business bookkeeping service, is sponsoring the event with Shift, the Nussbaum Center’s startup group, providing assistance.
The judging panel for our Saturday, March 8th 1-2:30pm Pitch Drill event at Deep Roots has been finalized. It will consist of:
Evan Morrison of Gate City Dry Goods representing Triad Local First
Roger Cubicciotti of VentuRealization
Joel Landau, former General Manager of Deep Roots Market
FREE PUBLIC EVENT – Saturday, March 22nd from 2:00-4:30pm at Glenwood Library, part of the Greensboro Library System, has been set as the new date for the Economy, Jr. originally scheduled for January 23rd that was delayed due to incremental weather. The Economy, Jr. originally scheduled to take place Thursday, January 23rd from 2:00-3:30pm at Glenwood Library, a Branch of the Greensboro Library, sponsored by Bulldog Printing along with the Nussbaum Entrepreneurship Center’s Startup group Shift leading volunteers has been postponed due to schedule changes caused by the Wednesday, January 22nd incremental weather that closed area schools.
Sometime in late March is looking to be the new date for this event. We will provide the specific time and day for the rescheduled event when it becomes available.
