2/20 Pitch Drill @ B’nai Shalom Day School

rebuildup_CRESTS-B'NAI-DAY-CI-300PRIVATE EVENT – On Tuesday, February, 20th, 5th-8th graders at B’nai Shalom Day School will play Cashless Incubator to compete on their own or in teams of two to solve a local problem with a skills for resources trading technique.

We completed the Teen Entrepreneur Fall Series with our final event at Kathleen Clay Library sponsored by Summit Credit Union.  Here’s some of the action:

With the Teen Entrepreneur Fall Series wrapped up, it’s time for players to mail in their entries by the Monday, November 10th deadline for the $300 PitchPocalypse pitching contest on Tuesday, November 18th 6-8pm at Central Library in Downtown Greensboro.

PUBLIC (FREE) EVENT – On Saturday, June 14th, teenagers are welcome to come out to the Nussbaum Center for Entrepreneurship from 1-3:30pm to take part in ReBuildUp’s Jobs Course where they’ll play Economy, Jr., an Economic Literacy game, and Pitch Drill, a fast paced business plan and pitching contest.


By completing both games, players will be eligible to enter their own business concepts to the Cashless Incubator for review by area businesses in hopes of landing internships, jobs, or resources for their startup idea.  Participants of the Jobs Course will not have to pay the minimal signup fee to enter the Cashless Incubator for six months thanks to a generous donation by Summit Credit Union.

Summit Credit Union is sponsoring the event with Shift, the Nussbaum Center’s startup group, providing assistance.

PUBLIC (FREE) EVENT – On Saturday, March 22nd, teenagers at Glenwood Library from 2-4:30pm will be taking part in ReBuildUp’s Jobs Course that has them play Economy, Jr., an Economic Literacy game, and Pitch Drill, a fast paced business plan and pitching contest.

Judges for the Pitch Drill part of the event will be Jerome Gray, Executive Director of Greensboro Community Development Fund, the East Market Street Development Corporation, Phil Barnhill, Director of Operations of East Market Street Development Corporation, and Lisa Goble, PhD of UNCG’s Office of Innovation Commercialization.
